Good Move Bad Move NFC North

Alright Lakesiders, we did the AFC North now it's the NFC North's turn.

Chicago Bears

Good Move: Trading for Jay Cutler- He's a selfish, egotistical, whining dope. He's also a bonafied Superstar that can be mentioned in the same breath (statistically) as Brady, Brees, or Manning (either of them). I know what you're thinking they gave up too much for him right? Think about this, Chicago hasn't had a QB that was a household name since Jim McMahon. Lovie Smith is a lot of things, stupid just ain't one of them. He knew there was no way he could keep his job after this season with the QB's he had and needed a guy that was NFL proven so as not to seem like he was starting over again. This wasn't a good move for the Bears it was there only one.

Bad Move: Who is Cutler going to throw to?- It seems Chicago forgot 1 key ingredient in this master plan. They have NO recievers! Go ahead name their starters at wideout. And I'll spot you KR Devin Hester.

Detroit Lions

Good Move: Cleaning house- I'm gonna keep this one short, Matt Millen had to go... in 2004!!!

Bad Move: Kevin Smith- This kid had a pretty good season, a shade under 1,000 yards and 8 TD's, not bad for a rook. But he just had to open his mouth and promise the playoffs to a city that has watched this team flat out suck the past few decades not to mention make a mess of a carreer for a guy who could have easily been statistically the best RB of all time. Nothing wrong with confidence and swagger as long as you've done something to merit it. You'll excuse me but a flashy rookie season on the worst team in the NFL ain't gonna cut it, so here's a tip SHUT UP!

Green Bay Packers

Good Move: Solid Draft- Not as good as I thought it should be, they could've done better on a couple of the late picks they had. But I had the pleasure of catching some of Raji's and Matthews' games in college, and let me be clear they are as good as advertised.

Bad Move: Cleaning house on defense- I know they played terrible on that side of the ball last year, but I think in this case the Pack would've done better to stick with the devil you know. Now with the new changes on the defensive side along with a new special teams coordinator after the departure of long-time journeyman coach Mike Stock, I think Green Bay is gonna have some growing pains this upcoming season.

Minnesota Vikings

Good Move: Trying to acquire Brett Farve- Let's be real here, Tarvaris Jackson is clock manager nothing more. And half the time he can't even get that right. I know there's been some talk that he looks good this offseason, but that's all it is talk. Neither he nor Sage Rosenfels (Who I think was a stretch for the Viks giving up a 4th rounder) is talented enough to keep up with a team that if they had an above average guy under center should have legitimate superbowl aspirations. I know Farve is old but you have to admit he's still above average and the best QB you're gonna find this late in the offseason.

Bad Move: Trying to acquire Brett Farve- I wouldn't have a problem with it if the deal had gotten done by now. But it's practically June and here we are with this is he or isn't he crap that #4 has been pulling since Aaron Rodgers got drafted. If Minnesota doesn't get Farve and has to start Jackson you have to believe his ego will be crushed and all of this extra hoopla with the media that the team definitely didn't need was for naught. Most of all you have to wonder how much faith is Jackson's teammates gonna have in him after the brass did everything they could to find a replacement.
